Jewellery

Are your pieces real and 100% silver or gold?

All our silver pieces are manufactured from sterling silver. These items are not plated but made from sterling silver. Sterling silver consists of 92,5% silver, with the remaining 7,5% being other metals that make items durable and wearable as jewellery. The most common addition is copper.

All our gold pieces are manufactured from gold. Gold jewellery comes in a variety of carats such as 8ct, 9ct, 14ct, 18ct or 22ct gold jewellery. We currently sell items made from 9ct or 14ct gold. This will be specified in item’s description.

In addition to our sterling silver and gold collections, we also currently sell items that are made from sterling silver with additional gold plates placed on top. Such items are described as gold plated and have this information specified in their description.

Will your silver jewellery stain my skin?

If you have previously had such issues, they might reoccur, although not necessarily. It is possible that particles present in the moisture produced by your skin will react with silver jewellery. It is likely that this reaction is related to copper that is added to stabilise silver (sterling silver is made from 92,5% silver and 7,5% additional metals to make the item more durable). Factors such as health issues, lifestyle and cosmetics might contribute to this issue. This might be a temporary problem with more frequent cleaning being helpful, although not necessarily. In some cases, choosing rhodium-plated silver items might be helpful too. This is not the same as allergic reaction. However, if you feel uncomfortable wearing the item, you should stop doing so immediately.

Will my silver jewellery get dark?

Sterling silver jewellery can change its colour, depending on the environmental factors, and this is completely normal. It is not recommended to store silver items in damp environment. We also recommend avoiding contact with chemicals (e.g. cleaning solutions, cosmetics, etc.). It might simply get dirty as anything else that is worn. Using professional cleaning cloths for sterling silver will assist with maintaining its original shine.

Will my jewellery look the same as pictured?

Please note that there might be slight variations in colour tone due to differences between devices. Please also note that all images are enlarged to provide a clear view of item’s details. Images might not reflect the actual measurements of the item. Therefore, we recommend to always check the dimensions specified in item’s description before purchasing. Also, all our jewellery is handmade, which makes them prone to minor variations.
